Sent to Performa - New York, NY, U.S. - 23.06.15
Performa -"a multidisciplinary non-profit arts organization"- in
collaboration with The Ray Johnson Estate, presents “Please Add To and Return
To,” a mail art activation celebrating the life and work of mail-art artist Ray
Johnson (1927- 1995).
As a special homage to
Johnson in the year of the 20th anniversary of his
passing, several of the artist’s mail art “templates” are placed back into
circulation. The
first template circulated is Johnson’s The Starn Twins, a
fractured pair of the artist’s signature “bunny” drawings.
