What a SURPRISE! Before his trip to the U.S., Dean still managed to send me an -as ever- special mail-art using a "real" -oh yes, you shocked bibliophiles!- a real book cover, referring to his pragmatic philosophy: some books are better off in Mail Art than sitting on a shelf! And yes, I don't know which wisdom was protected by this beautiful red cover, but its new coverings are wise AND funny! And I will try, of course, to live according to them!!!
I got this card as a PostCrossing card. Many PostCrossers put explicitly on their profile that they don't want to recieve "handmade" of "selfmade" cards... I put explicitly on my profile that I ADORE them!
Today I received my first mail art since I am here in Oldenburg (BUT when I arrived, there was already awaiting me a Pink-Red-Orange-Yellow mail art from Ka van Haasteren! I will put it on my other blog of course, http://wimpletproy.blogspot.de). Cristina Blank sent me this Black Iris bird from her Pantone-cards series, with, indeed, a painting with much black in it. Just now I notice that there is also pink/red, orange and yellow in it, so it also could have gone to my other blog!
Even if I am not yet completely - ...not completely at all!!! - installed; even if my boxes are not yet all - ...not all at all!!! - unpacked, I CANNOT WAIT to TAKE UP again MAIL ART! So, I'm going to TRY TO apply the LIFO principle (Last In First Out): what comes in, will go -I HOPE SO- immediately on my blog. And little by little, I'm going to put the older recieved and sent mail art. My new address: Fasanenweg 12 26133 Oldenburg Germany
